GAMES! sorry i mean games! >w<
The ultimate form of escapism!

a little bit about each game.
Make sure to click on the full post to read my little “reviews” about each one!
If you would like to talk about any of them, then hit me up on matrix, I’d love to chat about any of these games, as long as I remember them…
Some of these games I have played some years ago, and never played again. Some of them I keep playing. I’ll make sure to mention that. Some of these mini reviews may contain spoilers. Although personally I was never bothered by spoilers, my brain somehow just deletes that information after a while.
Android
My phone is decent-ish. Most of the games are forks of PC versions.
- Dredge
Graphics are great, the fish look amazing. The fishing mechanics are solid, but one of the things that really bothered me in the micromanagement hell of the inventory. I didn’t truly feel it until I started upgrading my boat, and building company boxes for the Iron Rig.
Didn’t like how fast the threat was neutralized in Stellar Basin as one Reddit user has put it. Fun fact, I thought that giant octopus/squid thing responds to fast movement. So I tried so move as slowly as I can, still I couldn’t get inside, but it was a nice interaction.
The swamp unfortunately has no danger whatsoever, aside from the mind suckers which can be avoided very easily, and it was the first time I fished at night with minimal consequence.
Speaking of threats. The Gale Rock threat was amazing, you never get rid of it, it kept chasing me when I got back to do the Iron Rig DLC.
Devil’s Spine is absolutely great. The vibe, the maze like layout, people complained it was too short, I visited Stellar Basin before the swamp and broke the sequence. I still love lava land.
Now the DLCs: The Iron Rig really felt like “Hey you know how there are so many inconvenient things about this game? Here’s a DLC to fix all of that”. The Iron Rig has this material harvester which would have been so, so useful when I was upgrading my boat in the early game. By the end materials have no use whatsoever.
Visually the Ice DLC was good, I just didn’t like how my fish kept rotting even though I was in a snowy place. Having the Icebreaker was great, and the narwhal almost didn’t pose any threat.
I think if the world got pulled more into your descent it would make it more impactful
Yeah which is a thing that we the Iron Rig kinda attempts and it was really nice. Oil and dark ooze spreading everywhere, I cleaned some of it in the areas that I frequent regularly. Also I’m still bothered by that Scientist who jumps overboard and no one reacts to it. You can’t even tell anyone about it. “Like yeah we had a scientist, the scientist was a distraction, the scientist is gone now 💀”
I played the Ice DLC too. I have nothing to say about it, since I was maxed out.
I guess I’d give it a 6/7 out of 10 too.
PC
My pc is quite low end, so I mostly play indie 2D games. I use Lutris to manage my games on linux. It’s quite nice.

20 Minutes Till Dawn
Fun to break! Not fun when broken. Try using Lilith with a batgun and choosing every upgrade that makes you make more bullets. Big bullets, small bullets, whatever you just want more projectiles, and watch your game dipping to 1 FPS.
-
ANTONBLAST
Very fun game inspired by Crash Bandicoot. I hate the time trials though, they made me so angry, so at some point I was like “Fuck it” and deleted this game from my brain. It was fun while it lasted. On a sidenote, I tried to run the game on Winlator, which is like an emulator app that allows you run windows games on Android. I ended up never playing on my phone anyway :P
-
Baba Is You
Fun and cute. Didn’t finish it, just played the first 15 levels or so. I also played Baba Is You Extreme (a fan game) I also didn’t finish it.
-
BAD END THEATER
Finished it. It was fun and cute, the art style is I liked too.
-
Balatro
Played it when everyone was crazy about it. It’s still on my phone, yet I never played it after playing for 2 weeks. I have this thing with certain games, that once I stop playing a certain kind of game I never play it again, because I feel bored having to relearn stuff.
-
Brotato
Easy replay-ability, not too complex, and shows you cool stats if you wanna look at them. I played it for a long bit, maybe 118 hours, I don’t really recall.
-
Carrion
Mmm yes reverse horror games. And you get to control soldiers and have em kill each other, absolutely royal stuff!
-
Celeste
CELESTE CELESTE CELESTE CELSTESSSS. I fucking love it. I finished the main game, got the soundtrack, and kept playing it a bit every now and then. Definitely a game worth replaying. Also Celeste 64 is really nice and cool, I played it for like an hour. Ahhh, Celeste. After I finished the game I learned something about Madeline being trans, and that just warmed my heart >w<
-
Cuphead
Hah! Played it with my little brother. Was fun as hell, also fun to see him lose constantly and use all my HP. We played it a month ago, we plan to finish it… At some point… Also the Cuphead show is pretty cool.
-
Darkest Dungeon
Oof I think I played this 2.5 years ago. Everything is fuzzy, but the experience was wonderful. I didn’t finish it, I did mod it. And that’s all I can remember.
-
Dead Cells
The deadest of cells! Me and my brother love this game. I used to play it on an even crappier laptop, and I would have to play it in a very cold room lest the laptop blows up. I now play it on my phone, I plug an Xbox360 controller and get to playing. This is a game that I still play from time to time. I’m still stuck on two boss cells, but overall I always have fun playing it.
Also The Castle’s Outskirts fucking suck. It was so fun and fun at the first time, “Wow! Castlevania!”. But now it’s just this tedious crap, flick the lever, go down, flick this, flick that, and don’t even get me started on the fucking enemies! I didn’t kill Dracula.
I FUCKING LOVE THE ASSAULT SHIELD. Especially pushing enemies off ledges, Fractured Shrines *wink* *wink*
-
Deltarune
I fucking love Deltarune. I probably played Chapter 1 twice, and chapter 2 was okay I guess. I love the tracks “A CYBER’S WORLD?”, “Scarlet Forest” is a fucking masterpiece, and “Hip Shop”. Toby Fox makes the bestes of musics. Wait, what about Eric Barone the creator of Stardew Valley. Which one makes the bestes of musics? I do not know.
Chapter 3 and 4 are out now. I already have them. I do not feel motivated to play them though :(
-
DELTATRAVELER
Fun, fun, fun, and fun. I played it so, so much. Replayed it, too. Loved the UNO section, still love the UNO section. Absolutely fucking lovely.
-
Die In The Dungeon
I love the classic version released on itch.io. I loved that game, played it a lot. I don’t know how I feel about the full game release, it took a more “Slay The Spire” approach. Don’t get me wrong, I love the full release, it has grown on me.
-
Dome Keeper
Really fun, also spent a lot of time playing it! There’s room for me to play it maybe in the future.
-
Don’t Starve
Ahhh the amount of memories this whole thing is bringing. Don’t Starve, what a lovely, haunting, and well crafted game… Oh I remember the winters, like in real life. When I would play and play and play. I didn’t completely finish it. I didn’t finish the DLCs. I modded the shit out of it, as it is custom.
-
Enter The Gungeon
When I was some 14 or 15 years old. I used to play the shit out of this game with my little brother. But we came back to it after 4 years, and sadly it is terrible. Performance hiccups, unfairness, guns being too fucking rare, our hands would always get sore after playing it. So we made a compromise, we enabled full auto aim. And still the game was absolute shit. It is so sad, I held this game in very high regards. I don’t remember the exact details, but I felt as if the game was punishing me for playing it.
-
Forager
*Hums Forager theme* Ahh Forager. I reached late game. Made a bunch of factories and so much droids. I just wish HopFrog (the dev) would make more stuff…
-
Graveyard Keeper
One of my favorite games. The music, the atmosphere, the walking simulator! I have had a very unique experience with this game, and I’m almost sure that no one experienced it.
First things first, the game kept crashing like there was no tomorrow! I would play the intro for a dozen times, until I gave up and removed it. 2 years later I come back to it, and my god I can’t believe I left this game all these years. There was the new DLCs, “Breaking Dead”, “Better Save Soul”, “Game of Crone”, and “Stranger Sins”!
Also there was a “communist” donkey. Quotes are needed, because at some point he says that “Some donkeys have started feeling too equal. So we had to remind them who’s in charge.” I am paraphrasing here. Anyway I fucking loved the donkey. And the use of carrots to enable and disable corpse deliveries. God what a fucking game.
I called it a walking simulator, because sadly that’s mostly what you will be doing, early game anyway. Once you get the speed potions it’s a breeze. Also make sure to ALWAYS carry nails, hinges, and that brown wood, I don’t remember it. So you don’t have to walk back and forth hauling materials. Time is sorta important in this game.
THE FUCKING MUSICS. It makes up for the walking. God the music, the fucking musics!! I will get the OST as soon as I listen to all of it, and memorize the track names. Don’t wanna end up with a flood of tracks, and you can’t tell which one you like and which ones you don’t, your mind wonders and hums a tone, but oh no! You don’t know the name of the track. What shame… What SHAME! I’M LOOKING AT YOU ARKNIGHTS OST, IF FUCKING LOVE THE ARKNIGHTS’ OST, but I have no idea what is in my music library.
Ahem ahem, yes Graveyard Keeper. Sadly, and so very sad, indeed. The performance is terrible, the memory leaks are plentiful… But it never bothered me, the memory being full was a reminder for me to get up and take a break. GOD I love this game. Will play it again, yes, yes, yes, yes. I just need to forget enough of it so I can do it again.
Also I never finished it, got to late game though. I was one or two gold coins short of the Aristocrat papers. I think I had every artifact thingy except for the one pride mirror from the bishop.

Katana ZERO
Hah hah. This might be the first game that I started speedrunning. And made me appreciate speedrunning too. The game is perfect, the sound track is dashing (I have it in my library) AND did I tell you about the musics?
It’s the fucking timer. That timer, that music, that beautiful level design and the way the mechanics interact with the levels. OH! Oh! Katana ZERO. I use the knife like the cool speedrunners 😎
I also installed that mod that lets you play as Fifteen. ‘Twas so very fun. Can’t wait for the DLC.
-
Lies Of P
I know I know a good game. A fun game. I played it on an Xbox Series whatever. I don’t seem to recall much about though. I liked a weapon called a salamender fire knife or something. I played all the way till The Church place.
-
Finn & Bones
Man, what a fun game. I still play it every now and then. The only game that might be remotely similar is Loop Hero. All of that potion mixing, and mixing elements with weapons. Watching Finn as he says “It’s bonin time” and proceeds to bone all over those bone guys.
-
Mindustry
Now here’s a game I loved, and sadly probably would never play again. There are multiple versions, balance updates every now and then, which makes sense since the game is kinda maybe still in development? I don’t really know the status of the game, but it’s an experience where you have to learn new things, make new schematics, and the worst, schematics breaking all the time. Some people like that, me, I ’m not so sure. I can just keep playing one old version, which was maybe 136, but I lost my save data, and my knowledge of the game. Oh yeah the musics fucking slay too. I have the soundtrack, and there’s just something about the musics. Thanks Anuken!
-
Minecraft
Come on. Come. On. It’s Minecraft, need I say more? It’s a lovely game where I get to be myself. For the longest time, my only experience with the game was with pre-1.12. But I got to it a year ago, and the whole ecosystem has changed! There are a lot of FOSS mods, better mod loaders and performance mods. All we had was Forge and god knows what Optifine does. Now I’m happy playing 1.20.1 Fabric, for it’s awesome performance, and mod-ability, sadly Forge still has the most mods, but what can you do.
-
Monster Sanctuary
A very fun and creative Metroidvania. Really cute, and has nice art and musics. I always go with the spectral wolf. Hah, I remember a build where I had 2 Manticorbs (Check out The Manticorb Experience and spectral wolf. Also the monster designs are really cute and so creative. There’s also this artbook that is basically the monster encyclopedia from the game. I think there’s a printed version somewhere too. Ahh, the snow levels are so warm and fuzzy. Also I didn’t finish the Dinosaur DLC but it looked really cool. 10/10 Would play again.
-
NO-SKIN
Fun horror aesthetic. Nice music. The full release is out now, I haven’t tried it.
-
Plants Vs. Zombies
Come on, the art, the mechanics, the gameplay, the musics, the musics, the musics. As much as I FUCKING LOVE to mod games, I couldn’t mod this one, or play the modded versions. Anyway ‘Twas a nice experience.
-
Rayman Origins
Played it with my brother on PC. So much good memories. OST is amazing, especially the track “Jibberish Jungle”.
-
Rimworld
A fun game I played this year, 2025. Due to performance issues I stopped playing it.
-
Sally Face
Cool game, cool soundtrack. Puzzles killed me though.
-
Shadows Over Loathing
Mmm picked this game after watching Markiplier’s video. A cool game that I sunk some 2 dozen hours into. Is fun, simple, easy to get into, and to get back to.
-
Shattered Pixel Dungeon
I loves dis games. I used to play it in a period of heavy depression. I would wake up, play for an hour or so, then go brush my teeth and other normal things that become impossible when you’re depressed. Uhhh, anyway, good game, and THAT soundtrack, mmm, mm, m, m, mm, mmm. Thank you Kristjan Thomas Haaristo. Go give em love! That first area track (The Sewers) is fucking drilled into my god damn brain. It loops, and loops, and lööps.
Now this is a game, that has complex elements that you need to relearn, and just thinking about it, I want to get into it again!
-
Slay The Spire
Hmmm. I don’t have much to say about this game… Probably because I played it when I was sleep deprived. It’s a good and nice game I guess.
-
Sort The Court.
Fun game. Beautiful soundtrack, and you just get lost in there… Yes, or no.
-
SPORE
Had so many laughs watching youtube video of it. And even more laughs making shit with my brother. I like any game that makes me create stuff. There’s the DragonCreator on itch.io, and picrew.me. Yee, fun stuff.
-
Starbound
Ahhh Starbound. Starbound, Starbound, Starbound, Starbound! Now here’s a game. It doesn’t stand on its own to be honest, but once you mod it… AH STARBOUND!. Now here’s a game where I got to express myself quite a lot. It was oh so fun. This game, and it’s gorgeous soundtrack has a very special place in my heart.
The game is entangled with controversy. First there’s the issue of Chucklefish having a million dollars and not delivering what was promised. Then there’s:
- The terrible mechanics like the movement system yuck. Easily fixable with a mod called “Less Floaty Movement”
- Procedurally generated planet being boring as fuck. Except for Lava Ocean Planet. I love you Lava Ocean Planet. Because you don’t make my FPS drop. Also because you are absolutely stunning and Beeeeeeeautiful.
- Procedurally generated enemies with terrible sounds. This can be fixed by downloading mods that change animal parts and animal sounds. It will make the experience much much better.
- The terrible performance. Just terrible. They throw rain particles like they hate your PC. Starbound’s weather has absolutely nothing on Terraria’s weather. Anyway, no good, no, no, no.
- Mediocre story and boring quest line. Doing the quests is an absolute fucking drag, which is why I opted for roleplay and creating little plots and missions for me to accomplish.
- Boring combat. Again, m o d s.
- Fucked up inventory system. No solution, suck it up, get used to it.
- Really slow digging. Can be fixed with so many mods. I think I fixed this with “Matter Manipulator Manipulator”.
Mods that I recommend:
- Any race mode you like. I liked the Nekki (or Neki?), a cute cat race. Make sure to get “Race Traits” mod too to make things interesting.
- Wardrobe mod. To customize your character with no limits! Create outfits, save them and change between them at a moment’s notice.
- That one mod that adds RPG progression. Sorry I donr rememer.
- That mod that lets you add custom NPCs, and “CrewCustomize”, for the ultimate roleplay experience.
That’s all I can remember really.
Now about the performance issues. There is a project called “OpenStarbound” that aims to improve the engine. Using code that was found in a backpack in the middle of the street. I still don’t know if this is a joke, or a real. Plz help. I have had a much smoother experience using OpenStarbound.
-
Stardew Valley.
I have a lot to say.
